Ferries to the Cyclades islands depart from Heraklion port which is located right in the middle of Crete's main highway that runs alongside the north coast of the island.

There’s one crossing per week to Milos island operated with the conventional ferry of Aegeon Pelagos company, the duration of the trip is 10,5 hours. Starting from July there are a couple of crossings per week with Minoan Lines company.

Trips to Santorini and Mykonos are operated by highspeed vessels of Sea Jets & Minoan Lines. The duration of the trip to Santorini is about 2 hours. 

Last but not least is the island of Naxos, trips are operated by Sea Jets company. It takes approximately 3,5 hours to get to the island.
