DISCOUNTS AND SERVICES FOR INDIVIDUAL
(Valid for strategic/brochure fares)
- IMPORTANT TRAVEL INFORMATION FOR DOMESTIC LINES / COVID-19 PANDEMIC :
According to the Act of Legislative Content (Measures to address the ongoing consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic), published in the Greek Government Gazette 84/A/13-4-2020, the provisions of Article 65 (Refunds from maritime travel cancellations) the Company’s cancellation policy is modified as follows :
- Passengers with tickets for travel until 31/10/2020 who cannot travel due to travel restrictions, or who do not wish to travel due to uncertainty because of the pandemic or due to cancellation of their scheduled sailings, must convert their tickets to open date tickets at least 24 hours before departure.
- Open date tickets can be used on a next trip to any destination served by ANEK / SUPERFAST, within the period of eighteen (18) months from the date of departure of the original tickets.
- In case the passenger wishes to travel on a date or in an accommodation category for the same or different destination, with a higher fare than the fare of the original ticket, then the resulting fare difference should be paid.
- In case that open date tickets have not been used by the end of the 18 months period, then the passengers are entitled to receive 100% of the fare of the open date tickets they have in their possession.
- IMPORTANT TRAVEL INFORMATION FOR ADRIATIC LINES / COVID-19 PANDEMIC :
According to article 65 (Refunds from maritime travel cancellations) of the Legislative Content Act that was published in the Greek Government Gazette A'84/13.04.2020, our cancellation policy for tickets with travel to the Adriatic Sea routes until October 31st 2020 is amended.
In particular, passengers requesting the cancellation of their reservations during the above period because they cannot travel due to travel restrictions, or do not wish to travel due to uncertainty caused by the pandemic or due to cancellation of scheduled sailings, will have their tickets converted into open date tickets valid for eighteen (18) months from the date of travel.
- Reservations with or without the Early Booking discount and with at least one leg of the trip until October 31st 2020 :
1) Tickets will be converted into open date tickets with validity for 18 months from the date of initial outbound (one way reservations) or from the date of initial inbound (round trip reservations) with the possibility to be used, within the period of 18 months, for travel to any destination of the company (Ancona, Bari, Venice, Heraklion, Chania).
2) In case that open date tickets have not been used by the end of the 18 months period, passengers are entitled to full refund of the fare of their initial tickets.
3) Upon rebooking new travel dates, all valid discounts or offers of the selected route (Adriatic or Crete) will be applied at the new reservation and passengers will have to pay any difference between the value of their original tickets and the tickets of the new reservation.
4) If the original tickets include the Early Booking discount, passengers reserve the right to apply the discount on their new reservation (Adriatic routes).
5) The conversion of tickets into open date tickets with the validity of 18 months is possible only with a relevant request up to 24 hours before the scheduled departure time of the original tickets.
- Reservations for travel as of November 1st 2020 :
For all bookings with travel dates as of November 1st 2020, the Anek-Superfast general terms and conditions apply.
For all tickets including the Early Booking discount with travel dates as of November 1st 2020, the Early Booking terms and conditions apply.
ANCONA – BARI – VENICE
20% FAMILY & FRIENDS (ANCONA)
20% discount for 3 or 4 persons traveling in AA3/AB3 or A4/AB4 cabins with or without their vehicle – All passengers must travel with the same reservation code – Discount applies on passenger and vehicle (all categories, excluding trailers and motorcycles) fares – Limited capacity available.
10% FAMILY & FRIENDS (BARI & VENICE)
10% discount for 3 or 4 persons traveling in AA3/AB3 or A4/AB4 cabins with or without their vehicle – All passengers must travel with the same reservation code – Discount applies on passenger and vehicle (all categories, excluding trailers and motorcycles) fares – Limited capacity available.
20% AIRSEAT / DECK
20% discount for minimum 3 passengers (max nr. 7 passengers) traveling in airseats or deck plus vehicle 1st category only – All passengers must travel with the same reservation code – A vehicle (1st category) has to be included in the reservation in order that the 20% discount is granted (i.e. not granted
to passengers only). Discount applies on passenger and vehicle fares. Discount does not apply to Camping on Board reservations – Limited capacity available.
Children under the age of 4 years old who do not occupy a bed/berth/airseat pay Euro 5.50 per passage. Children under the age of 4 years old who occupy a bed/berth/airseat pay the 50% of the selected adult fare.
50% CHILDREN (ANCONA)
Children between the ages of 4 and 16 years old pay the 50% of the selected adult fare – Children traveling in cabins must be accompanied by an adult.
50% CHILDREN (VENICE & BARI)
Children between the ages of 4 and 12 years old pay the 50% of the selected adult fare – Children traveling in cabins must be accompanied by an adult.
20% YOUTH (ANCONA)
All passengers between 17 and 25 years old are entitled to a 20% discount, traveling with or without vehicle (vehicle 1st category & motorcycle). Holders of the ISIC student card (International Student Identity Card) and the EYC card (European Youth Card) are also entitled to the 20% discount,
regardless their age. Discount applies on passengers and vehicles (1st category / motorcycle) fares.
20% YOUTH (BARI & VENICE)
All passengers between 13 and 25 years old are entitled to a 20% discount. Holders of the ISIC student card (International Student Identity Card) and the EYC (European Youth Card) are also entitled to the 20% discount, regardless their age. Discount applies on passenger fares only.
20% SENIORS (ANCONA)
All passengers 60 years old and over are entitled to a 20% discount, traveling with or without vehicle (vehicle 1st category & motorcycle). Discount applies on passengers and vehicles (1st category/ motorcycle) fares.
10% SENIORS (BARI & VENICE)
All passengers 60 years old and over are entitled to a 10% discount. Discount applies on passenger fares only.
30% RETURN DISCOUNT
Valid only when outbound and return tickets are issued at the same time and in the same reservation code (passenger names and vehicle model and plate number have to be the same in both legs of the reservation). The reduction is already included in the price list.
25% AUTOMOBILE / CAMPING CLUBS & ASSOCIATIONS
25% reduction on vehicles of specific automobile & camping clubs & associations. Discount applies on the vehicle fare only. Discount does not apply to Camping on Board reservations on Ancona line for the following period: Ancona – Greece: not valid from 01st July until 15th August 2016, Greece – Ancona: not valid from 01st August until 15th September. Limited capacity available (detailed terms and conditions
of the offer and list of the automobile associations will follow).
All above reductions are not cumulative and only one of them (the greater) is granted at a time.
All above discounts do not apply to pet cabin surcharge, fuel and port surcharges.
CAMPING ON BOARD
Available from 01/04/16 – 31/10/16. Vehicle is accommodated on open deck and fare to be applied is the respective vehicle fare + deck fare for the passengers.
30% ON DOMESTIC TICKETS
In combination with an ANEK-SFF Adriatic trip – Discount applies on one way passenger and vehicle (all categories) fares. Both tickets have to be issued simultaneously.
LUX CABIN FREE BREAKFAST (Lux cabins available on SFXI, OLYMPIC CHAMPION and HELLENIC SPIRIT) We offer free breakfast in the A la Carte or Self Service Restaurant for our passengers accommodated in Lux cabins.

Pet cabins are available on board SFI, SFII, SFXI, OLYMPIC CHAMPION and HELLENIC SPIRIT.
PURE CABINS (available on SFXI only)
PURE cabin surcharge: Euro 50 per cabin per way (non commissionable).
Available cabin categories: LUX, A4 and AB4. The four bed cabins can be sold as triple, double or single cabins as well.
DORMITORIES: Dormitories with shared shower and WC are available on board SFXI only.
SINGLE OCCUPANCY: Single occupancy is available in the cabin category LUX, A2 and AB2 (AB2 not available for single use on SFXI) and has a 50% surcharge for ANCONA line and 70% surcharge for BARI and VENICE line.
FUEL SURCHARGE (applicable on Strategic and NET IT fare levels)
ANCONA: Fuel surcharge of Euro 15 per passenger (excluding infants in any accommodation category), per vehicle, per way.
BARI: Fuel surcharge of Euro 5 per passenger (excluding infants in any accommodation category), per vehicle, per way.
VENICE: Fuel surcharge of Euro 20 per passenger (excluding infants in any accommodation category), per vehicle, per way.
General Terms & Conditions
Passengers, their luggage and accompanied vehicles are carried subject to the International Treaties and Conventions, the Greek Private Maritime Code and the general conditions of carriage of the Superfast Ferries, Blue Star Ferries or Anek Lines Vessels (hereinafter the “Vessel/Vessels”) as these conditions (collectively referred to as “General Terms and Conditions”) were determined by the Managers of the Vessels acting on behalf of the Ship Owners of the Vessels (hereinafter the Managers and the Ship Owners together referred to as “the Company”). These General Terms and Conditions include exclusions and limitations of carriers’ liability for death, illness or for damage to or loss of vehicles and luggage or for delay or deviation. Copies of the General Terms and Conditions of carriage of the Company are available upon request.
Timetables – Fares
Fares and timetables listed in this catalogue are based on conditions existing at the time of print. If any conditions should change after the time of print, the Company reserves the right to make changes to the timetable, the fares and the routes or to refrain from contractual obligations without prior notice. The Company however is not liable for any damages resulting thereof. The aforementioned conditions include any kind of unforeseeable circumstances like an increase in fuel prices or currency fluctuation. In the unlikely event that contractual obligations may not be fulfilled, the customer is entitled to a full refund of payments made. The Company cannot be held liable for any delays caused by third parties, port authorities, or extreme and unusual weather conditions. Schedules are subject to change without prior notice.
In compliance with international SOLAS regulations and EU Law (Council Directive 98/41/EC of 18 June 1998) passengers are required to supply the following information during reservation: Name and Surname, Gender, Nationality, Date of birth, Contact phone number, Type and registration number of vehicle (if applicable). Passengers from non-European Union (and non-Schengen) countries are required to supply the following additional information: Passport number and expiry date, Visa expiry date (if required).
Tickets are valid for one year from the date of issuance except for tickets that have restricted validity. A ticket is not transferable unless otherwise provided by law. The person allowed to travel is the person named on the ticket (passage contract). The Company reserves the right to request passengers to present valid identification documents before travelling and will not be held liable if a passenger -other than the person entitled to travel under a ticket- who has presented identification documents to the Company -corresponding to the passenger named on the ticket has travelled and/or has been reimbursed.
The fares of tickets purchased in other countries or onboard may differ due to fluctuations in the exchange rate.
Cancellations – Refunds
Cancellations can be made at the Travel Agency, Port Agency, Premium Sales Agent or at the offices of the Company where reservation and payment were made. Depending on the time of cancellation the following amounts are refunded (special offers excluded):
• A 100% refund, up to 22 days prior to departure.
• A 80% refund, from 21 days up to 8 days prior to departure.
• A 50% refund, from 7 days to 24 hours prior to departure.
• The Company has no obligation to refund in case of cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to ship’s departure or if the passenger does not report at check-in.
Passengers have the right to make their ticket OPEN with validity for one year from the date of issuance. If this ticket is cancelled, the date of rebooking is considered as the date of cancellation and the refund is calculated in relation to the original travel date.
• In the event of a partial cancellation of a round trip of which one crossing has been completed, the passenger will be charged a one way fare and will be refunded as above for the balance of the round trip fare.
• In the event of a whole cancellation of a round trip, the passenger will be refunded as above (based on the time of
cancellation). A request for refund must be made in writing and the actual refund may take place in a three month period after the last date of travel. Cancellations and refunds can only be settled through the Travel Agency, Premium Sales Agent or offices of the Company, where tickets were issued. Port Agencies may cancel a ticket once check-in has been finalized but cannot refund money. The Company is entitled to retain the total value of ticket if the passenger interrupts his voyage at an intermediate port, unless the interruption is due to illness, accident or force majeure.
Open tickets are valid for one year from the date of issue. Passengers with an open return ticket must reserve their return journey well in advance through the Travel Agency, Premium Sales Agent, Port Agent or the offices of the Company, where reservation and payment were made. Open Return fares are always calculated on the basis of the low season fare. In the event that a passenger travels in shoulder or high season or during a period in which a new tariff is in force, then the difference between the current and the pre-paid fare has to be paid by the passenger. The Company cannot always secure the reservation of the passengers on their desired travel dates or accommodation type. Alternative travel dates or accommodation types may be offered.
In case of a lost ticket: a) The passenger must immediately notify the issuing Travel Agent, Premium Sales Agent, or the Company. b) The passenger bears the cost of the reissued ticket.
The lost ticket is refunded only by the issuing ticket office, three months after the departure date, following verification that the relevant ticket has not been used.
Valid proof may be required by the Company for discounted fares e.g.: a) infants, b) children, c) senior citizens, d) students, e) youths f) members of automobile associations & camping clubs. Discounts should be claimed upon reservation. After the voyage, no fare may be refunded.
A group consists of minimum 16 passengers. For the period from 15/07 until 15/09 a group consists of minimum 20 passengers.
The Company does not accept reservations for children under 15-years of age who are not accompanied by adults. Reservations for young people between 15 to 18-years of age can be accepted upon specific written permission by the parent or legal guardian for the unaccompanied voyage.
On board our Vessels there are specially designed cabins with easy access and operation to accommodate disabled passengers. Due to a limited number of such cabins it is necessary to reserve in advance.
Onboard our vessels there are a number of kennels available, which are necessary to be booked in advance. Furthermore, there are a limited number of cabins available for pet carriage. It is also necessary to reserve these in advance. Unaccompanied pets are not acceptable.
Owners or guardians are required to have their pet’s valid health documents with them while travelling (EU citizens
are additionally required to have their EU Pet Passport) and follow all entry regulations. For all cats, dogs and ferrets a valid rabies immunization document is mandatory. For more information, please always check with your veterinary and your local travel agent. Pets are not allowed indoors (bars, restaurants and other public areas) or in vehicles (unless you have booked camping on board), while access to the vehicle deck is forbidden during crossings. While walking on the open decks, pets are required to wear a muzzle and be on a leash, accompanied by the pet owner or guardian. The pet owner or guardian is held fully responsible for the care, safety and hygiene of the pet and for adhering to all laws and regulations related to the above.
Furthermore, pet owners are solely responsible for any possible harm or damage caused by their animals to any third party. Excluded from the above mentioned restrictions are animals that guard and assist people with disabilities that may accompany their owners. Owners must hold the appropriate certificates for these animals. Note: Carriage of live animals (other than pets) is governed by the cargo terms and conditions of the Company. For more information passengers should contact the Customer Service department of the Company.
Camping on Board
Camping on board is permissible from April 1st to October 31st. The passengers travelling with a caravan or a camper should check in at least 3 hours prior to the scheduled departure time. Delayed arrival of a camper may hinder boarding on the open deck. Due to the limited space for camping on board, it is advisable to book well in advance. For safety reasons, cooking and the use of gas or fire by camping-on-board passengers is strictly forbidden. Please pay special attention to the camping on-board instructions available on board. Camping on board is permitted for clients traveling with vehicles officially registered as camping vehicles, campers and caravans. Regular cars and/or minibus vehicles are not permitted for camping on board. Any vehicles that are not registered as camping vehicles will not be permitted for camping on board and clients will be denied access to the open deck.
Meals & Drinks
Meals and drinks are not included in the price of the ticket.
Passengers may hand in their valuables at the ship’s Purser’s Office for safe-keeping, provided that their total value does not exceed 500€. The Company is not responsible for the loss of money or valuables left in open storage spaces or in cabins. Please, report the loss of any personal item to the Reception Desk on board during the voyage or call the Customer Service Direct Line. Personal belongings that have been placed on passenger’s vehicles will not be accessible during the voyage since entry to the garage is prohibited after vessel’s departure.
Boarding Procedure / Entry Regulations
Due to our compliance with the security regulations of the ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security) code, all passengers are kindly required to proceed to the embarkation area, at least 2 hours prior to the scheduled departure time. All passengers are required to present their boarding card and a valid passport or ID to the Vessel’s authorized personnel. The Company reserves the Company’s rights to deny embarkation to any individual who, according to the best of Company’s knowledge, does not appear to possess valid travel documents or fails to prove, beyond a doubt, his/her identity. In the event of a fine being imposed on the Company by the immigration office, the amount will be charged to the passenger who failed to provide the proper legal documents. The Company cannot be held responsible in the event that authorities prevent a passenger from continuing his/her journey. In the event of immigration officials refusing entry, the passenger will be sent back to his/her departure place at his/her own expense. We would recommend that citizens of all states contact the appropriate consulate for details. Infants and children also require official documents of identification. All persons and all items brought on board the Vessel are liable to be searched. Persons refusing to comply with this demand shall be denied access on board and will be reported to the appropriate port authorities. If a passenger boarded on the Vessel wishes to disembark prior to departure, he/she must take all their carrying luggage and/or vehicle. In the case of vehicles of all kind, please bear in mind the possibility of you being unable to remove them from the ship’s garage due to their pre-arranged parking positions. Carriage of guns, cartridges, explosive, flammable, combustible and in general hazardous materials is strictly prohibited.
Currency on board
The currency used on board is Euro. Exchange Bureaus and ATM cash points (ATM only on board Superfast Ferries vessels) are also available. Major Credit cards are accepted.
Telecommunications & Internet
The following communication options are available on board:
• Coin-operated telephones via satellite.
• The use of personal cellular (mobile) phones during the entire duration of the voyage (service available only onboard Superfast vessels). There are different rates for this satellite roaming service. For any information about the rates of this service, please contact your mobile network provider.
• Internet corner (Olympic Champion, Hellenic Spirit) and wireless Internet connection (Wi-Fi) during the entire trip.
